I am glad you enjoyed the post. It is amazing the details that stick with us. It makes me wonder what my children will remember when they are my age.Dawn Alexanderhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12812066956850617957noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6150179607441468539.post-22461365996396318902011-04-21T11:21:40.823-05:002011-04-21T11:21:40.823-05:00Great post! Got me thinking.

I remember where I was during the big moments in life and history since I was born.

I remember that I was very emotional during 911 and was watching the Today show when it happened. I had a hunch right away that the plane crash was not an accident, and watched in horror (I remember screaming out loud) as I saw, live on TV, that second plane hit the other tower. I still get chills thinking about it.Loree Huebnerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09845600356878587780noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6150179607441468539.post-10150609884714533922011-04-21T10:28:15.915-05:002011-04-21T10:28:15.915-05:00Wow, Dawn; Thanks for making me cry!

I was nursing the second when Oklahoma city was bombed (I remember this because all I could do during those days was sit on the couch and be a mother).

I was on the way to the library when I heard about the first plane hitting the WTC...I thought the DJ was being a drama queen about it (I imagined it was a biplane). I live in an airport flight path...It was eerily quiet for a few days, and we all stood outside with a mixture of joy and terror when the first planes started to go over again.

I was in my living room in my college apartment when I watched the Challenger explode.

I remember when I got to kiss the first boy I really really liked, in a black and white chair in my parent's living room (yeah, I snuck him in, I was home alone...). Sigh. Best. Kiss. Ever.

I was sitting in a friend's driveway when I swore to always love my high school boyfriend...and because of that, it took me about a year to acknowledge that I DIDN'T love him anymore.

Wow, great post, lots of food for thought!Teri Anne Stanleyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15500524348027951939noreply@blogger.com
